‘Intuition who??’-me circa 2017-2018

I didn’t always trust my intuition.

Here’s my story…I went from being triggered by a friend’s advice, to doing this full time.

Flashback to when I was starting to awaken…

A milestone conversation I had in 2017 with a friend revealed a deep discontent within myself. She casually told me, "just listen to your intuition," as advice for a problem I felt was far more complicated. Her advice stirred many mixed feelings in me.

Sure I’d heard that phrase before (because who hasn’t heard that at least a million times?), but that day it finally clicked.

Or maybe I was finally ready to hear it.

Before I could take it to heart, I struggled with doubts. I grew up in the christian church and had layers of ingrained religious, societal and family programming that went against “just trust your intuition”.

I wanted to argue, "It's not just that easy!" (and I did argue..mostly with myself)

And it wasn’t easy, but it was simple.

As I wanted to complicate it, my friend’s advice showed me how long I’d chronically discounted my own intuitive gifts.

Shortly after that conversation, I met a friend who was a mystic. They casually showed me how to read a deck of oracle cards. What started as a fun little hobby, kicked off a series of spiritual awakenings (yes plural!), my own healing journey and building my own practice where I get to do readings for friends, family, clients, and even using it to fundraise for social causes I cared about.

Now flash-forward to today, intuition is the backbone of my biz. It is the cornerstone of my service to the world!
