The Future of *Power* and Redefining Militance for the New World

In the future, I don’t believe we will discard all of our militance but it will likely be repurposed.

As I’ve been putting together my masterclass on Spiritual Warfare these last few days, I’ve been thinking about the role of power and war in the New World.

In both spiritual and political spaces, there are whispers of another realm, another world, another reality we are co-creating…one that is not only possible, but necessary.

““Another world is necessary. Another world is possible. Another world is happening.”
- Grace Lee Boggs

More recently, the public reaction to Luigi Mangione’s actions shows a growing class consciousness with titles across the web like, “Veneration of Luigi Mangione shows widespread support for vigilante violence” reflect this sentiment.

My TikTok’s ‘For You’ page is filled with videos honoring Luigi—some satire, some serious, but all expressions of support. My instagram feed littered with grafitti tags and merch with the infamous “Deny Defend Depose."

It seems like for the first time in a while, the American people are on the same page and have made their feelings clear. It’s rare that a violent shooting garners widespread mainstream support, but it looks like these are only further Signs of the Times.

BUT I digress as this post is not about weather or not vigilante violence is a legitimate solution to social, economic, political and systemic issues. And as a sidenote I actually see how amplification of a single spectacle event is often the very distraction from the root issues we really need to rally around.

I am more interested in reflecting on

1. if we are seeing a sea change in consciousness(?)

2. and if it begs the bigger question of: What is the role of militance in the world we are co-creating? another way to ask it might be: What is the role of militant energy in the “New Earth”?

I do not believe we will ever fully abandon our militance, nor can we ever disarm ompletely. But I do see it evolving.

Instead of a militance we know, which is driven by control or dominance, I forsee that militance might shift toward protecting the things that truly matter—water, land, sustainability—power for the sake of balance and collective wellbeing.

Our current paradigms are so bankrupt of humanity, it probably feels hard to imagine beyond this world. But I believe it is part of our collective duty to dream. And maybe more militance will go to enforcing that dreaming stays part of our world, our children’s world and their children’s too.

War isn’t going anywhere.

It is an archetypal reality we are stuck with in this material world. It is an ancient “problem” that can never be solved. The paradigms of war won’t simply disappear, BUT I believe war will reinvent itself.

This shift represents a profound change in how we understand power.

The real war has always been about WILL. Who’s will wins out in the end? Those are the themes I have been exploring as I have been curating the Spiritual Warfare masterclass. As Above, So Below.

And War, as I believe, will only continue to support the Power to the People because it will no longer be hoarded by the few sitting at the top, but distributed more equitably and globally. It will be used to enforce the egalitarian and harmonious nature between all living beings, rather than disharmony and exploitation (which we still see today).

I believe the vital life force behind Power & War is about to transform from a tool of hierarchical control into a community resourced distribution model—a force for collaboration and protection of the sacred, rather than for coercive division and violence.

As the revolutionary Assata Shakur said

We need weapons of mass CONstruction

I trust there’s a future in which we won’t rely as heavily on a physical military industrial complexes nor police and prison industries to enforce law, as these systems will become increasingly irrelevant as we ascend into higher consciousness.

As freedom and liberation becomes more valued as a whole, those who do will lead the charge in develop new systems of protection that are just as effective but far less violent. As humanity becomes less fragmented and our collective understanding deepens past a certain point, the baseline for what it means to be human will collectively evolve towards unity. (Or rather, we will HOPEFULLY see that unity IS the only way.)

A New Earth (book) by Eckhart Tolle

If we are resolved of the polarity that’s plagued us for generations, maybe we may finally get clarity about what is truly worth fighting for.

Imagine "war" in a less violent world.

I've been noodling on this, and been considering some other questions:

  • What happens when newer generations gain access to technologies that heal the mind, body and soul? and what will it be like to normalize resolving lifetimes of intergenerational trauma in truncated timeframes?

  • What kind of systems will we build when we stop denying that we only have one Earth and understand our role as stewards?

  • What happens when leaders of the new world represent the heartbeat of the people and the collective will for r/evolution, and not just protect the status quo of the billionaire class?

The answers lie in this ongoing transformation: a shift from power-over to power-with, from control to care. It’s a reimagining of what protection and militance can be for a world that values life, community and harmony.

When we are finally ready to discard those old ways of being, The New Way makes itself known.

What do you think the future of war and power will be like?
