12 Great Reasons to Get a Tarot Reading
Any of these resonate? Let’s book your tarot reading!
#1 - Clarity
Most people come to a tarot reading looking for clarity, and it is not an external answer-delivery service like an AI chatbot. And it’s way more than just a solution to a problem—albeit a nice bonus when answers come through. Clarity is a gateway to your intuition and a state of being. It’s an embodiment.
Tarot readings allow for a quick attunement to reconnect to your own intuition. Clarity arrives when we are in the sacred space of true listening. Cut through the noise and allow the experience to unblock obstacles & unlock opportunities.
#2 - Sanity Check
I once did a reading for a client who was torn about a big decision - whether or not to get a particular apartment in a super pricey city. And with any high stakes decision, it was also fraught with resistance.
The reading revealed a few of the hidden blocks, which didn't seem like a big deal or even relevant to the apartment hunt. One of the blocks was about a relationship in her life and it was actually part of the subconscious fear that was holding her back.
Guess what? A few weeks later, she moved in to her new place!
#3 - Portal to Non-Linear Realms
In the same way our creativity doesn’t operate linearly, neither does our intuition. Getting a reading is a more focused and intentional way to transport to those realms and bring back symbolism, insights, guidance and wisdom to chew on. And speaking of wisdom…
#4 - Befriending Wisdom
Whose wisdom? Your wisdom, my wisdom, our shared collective wisdom along with wisdom of the guides, ancestors, and the realms unseen. They come through the cards and want to help you.
#5 - Solutions Naturally Emerge
The magic of our shared space during a reading, along with the simple art of contemplation and exploration can clear up a lot of mental fog. Solutions tend to naturally arise from the space of clarity. That and curiosity does wonders :D
#6 - Mirror to the Ego and Soul
Tarot is classically taught as a mirror of our inner wolds. I believe this 110%. Either as mirror to a trigger (of the ego) or as a glimmer (of the soul) where each provides valuable insights.
#7 - Re-contextualize the Puzzle Pieces
Recontexualizing is a helpful tool is to scatter the puzzle pieces and reassemble them in a new way, metaphorically speaking. This reset is kind of like a support technician asking ‘have you turned it off and turned it back on again?’ Tarot is brilliant at facilitating this problem-deconstruction process and can serve up more refreshing perspectives in the wake.
#8 - Access the Heart (of the Matter)
No more spinning in the symptoms or staying stuck at the surface level of the problem. Readings usually take us on an in-depth journey to the heart of the problem together, as it's here where we find ways to heal, mend, and resolve.
#9 - Inspired Next Steps
In a reading, next steps can come as additional actions, considerations, or even a point of focus to direct your energy where there’s the most impact. In the event where there’s no action needed, there might be more direction on where to focus instead.
#10 - Truthteller
One thing about energy: IT👏DOES👏NOT👏LIE👏 If your heart is in the right place, tarot will reveal that and affirm it back to you. Sometimes you just need to hear that you‘re right on track, and doing a great job in a challenging situation. When this is revealed by the cards, it‘s my favorite thing to tell a client!
So, if you’re craving some extra confirmation, book a reading and let’s look into it together!
#11 - To trust the mystery
What’s intriguing in a reading is also what's NOT revealed. Often, clients seek a simple yes/no answer, but the cards illustrate a nuanced picture, highlighting different areas that want attention, related to the question at hand.
Tarot reminds us that our lives and the circumstances within them exist for reasons beyond binary answers and reasons. Embracing the journey sometimes means trusting the mystery.
ANND some times the answer is extremely clear. In a recent reading I did for a mutual, the answer was a resounding ‘YES, Go for it!!’ It looked like (from my perspective) she was just looking for the cherry on top to give her the extra boost to go all-in.
#12 - Collective Understanding
Collective storylines and elements remind us that broader forces often influence our individual situations. While it's common to view our circumstances as unique, recognizing the shared challenges can foster compassion and solidarity.
Understanding that our problems are part of a larger collective struggle can provide some relief. It's empowering to know we are not alone and that our lives fit into a larger tapestry of meaning.
